Gathering Place
The Grove Theatre is a relaxing gathering place, nestled within an idyllic natural setting. Surrounded by lush greenery and shaded by towering trees, this magical space offers a unique escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Its open-air design allows audiences to connect with both the performance on stage and the beauty of the natural world around them. Whether it's an evening of live music, a captivating play, or a community event, The Grove Theatre provides a serene and communal atmosphere where neighbors and friends come together to create lasting memories in harmony with nature.

Community Events
The Grove Theatre isn’t just for theatrical and musical events. It is a versatile space where our community comes together. In 2022, The Grove was honoured to host the Celebration of Life for beloved community member, Randy Meredith. The amphitheatre also celebrated the Bobcaygeon Public School Grade 8 graduation. Both events brought together more than 300 family, friends and community members.
Each season, in partnership with the Maryboro Lodge Museum, The Grove brings together families and little ones at our Family Day event. The day includes a performance specifically curated for young minds, plus pre show activities provided by the museum.

Community Partnerships
The Grove has many seasonal partnerships. Some of our longstanding partners include the Horticulture Society of Kawartha Lakes, The Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes, the Fenelon Agricultural Society, and the Kawartha Works Community Cooperative. These organizations not only help build a sense of belonging and civic engagement, they strengthen the social fabric of Kawartha Lakes to create a more inclusive and vibrant community.

Pumpkin Parade
The Pumpkin Parade gives a second life to Fenelon’s carved pumpkins. Free to the public, this event is held in the days after Halloween and provides a space for friends, family and neighbours to slow down and catch up after a busy summer. The Pumpkin Parade has become a new tradition in our community, bringing in 400+ guests annually.

Volunteer Community
We are incredibly thankful for our volunteers, whose dedication and commitment make our organization robust and our mission achievable. Our volunteer family continues to grow and in 2023 we welcomed 85 volunteers, including seniors participating in our Seniors Volunteer Program with support from the New Horizons program.

Economic Impact
One of the principal reasons The Grove Theatre was created was out of the need to increase local tourism. The Grove is a driving force in our local economy, attracting audiences from throughout the region and beyond. Currently, 20% of our patrons are visiting the area for the summer and 50% of our patrons say they dine out locally in advance of a performance. The Grove will continue to strive to increase the economic benefit to our community.
